Over the last decade, I’ve spent anywhere from a few nights to almost a year exploring different cities and regions across the world. From the chaotic streets of Palermo and Bangkok to the vast emptiness of outback Australia, the stunning Montenegrin coastline and the futuristic architecture of Singapore, I’ve been quite fortunate to experience some incredibly different destinations along the way. More recently, now as a family of four, we’ve visited some fairly typical family-friendly favourites, but we’ve quickly developed a habit of visiting places that probably weren’t quite designed with young children in mind.

I love hunting down great places to eat (from local, authentic spots to wood-fired pizzas and good smash burgers), a proper flat white, somewhere to keep the kids entertained, and any excuse to get my camera out and capture a place in my own slightly unusual style.
